How Huntly works, written plainly.

Short, practical documentation for setting up your search and understanding what Huntly gives back. No jargon, no configuration.

Getting started

Create an account, import your CV, and confirm what Huntly reads from it. Your first matches appear once your preferences are set.

  • Sign in and upload your CV or paste your experience.
  • Check the roles and skills Huntly picked up, and correct anything off.
  • Set the job titles, locations and working style you want.
  • Open your matches and read the fit reasoning on the first few roles.

How Huntly works

Huntly collects listings from the boards you subscribe to, compares each role against your profile when you look, and prepares application drafts for you to send yourself.

  • Collecting: your first scan subscribes you to a set of public employer boards and a remote-jobs feed. You can add a company's own board, or paste the link to a single role.
  • Matching: each role is compared to your skills, your job titles, your location and the roles you said you were looking for, and given a verdict.
  • Evidencing: the verdict quotes the lines of the posting behind it, and names what your profile does not show.
  • Preparing: for roles you choose, a CV summary and cover letter are drafted from facts you confirmed — then you send the application yourself.

Understanding matches and results

A verdict is a starting point, not a ruling. The evidence underneath it is the part worth reading.

  • Apply: two or more of your skills appear in the posting, the job title lines up, and at least one of those skills is a distinctive one for you — or the role is one you asked for — and nothing on the listing rules you out.
  • Consider: a real possibility — one signal matched and the gaps are named for you, or something material is simply not stated on the listing.
  • Skip: usually a stretch, or something on the listing rules it out. Kept visible so you can judge for yourself.
  • Every verdict quotes the posting for what matched, and names what it could not evidence.

Account and plan information

Your plan controls which parts of Huntly you can use. What tells you the truth about a role — the verdict and the evidence under it — is identical on every tier.

  • Free includes discovery, explained matching, saving or dismissing roles, and applying in your own time.
  • Pro adds Assisted Apply, tailored CV and cover-letter drafts, downloading those drafts, and application tracking.
  • Every account can take a 14-day Pro trial, once. No card, and nothing renews. 2 complete application preparations are included in the trial, each one redraftable once. A preparation is a tailored CV summary, a cover-letter draft and the guided application for one role you choose.
  • Ultra is arranged with us directly rather than bought online.
  • Pro is charged in Nigerian naira. Your billing page shows whether checkout is open on your account, and it is the only place a payment can start.
  • Download everything Huntly holds about you, or delete your account, from Settings → Your data. Deleting needs a password on the account, so an account created with Google needs one set first.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need any technical knowledge to use Huntly?
No. Huntly is built for job seekers, not developers. These docs exist to remove uncertainty, not to configure anything.
How is this different from the Help Center?
The Help Center answers specific questions when something is unclear. Docs explain how the product works from start to finish.
Why don't I see many matches yet?
Usually the preferences are too narrow or the titles are unusual. Widen the titles slightly or add a nearby location and check again.
Can I edit what Huntly prepares?
Yes. Every draft is editable, and you are the one who decides whether it gets sent.

Still stuck? The Help Center covers specific situations, the FAQ answers the common ones, and you can always contact us.
